Wire Cable Basket | Mounting Guide

However, one of our most popular ranges for cable management is our wire cable baskets. As per the name, these have a wire basket-like frame that supports and suspends cables and wiring. The open design prevents heat and dust build up, as it has less surface area to accumulate and settle on. It is also light weight, while maintaining durability.

The subtle design makes it the perfect solution for safely and cleanly channelling cables around the office / work place, as it runs underneath desk and tabletops. They can also be used as a cable support system to run cables and power blocks along ceilings to help prevent any trailing cables; subsequently causing health and safety concerns.

They will need to be securely fitted in order suspend and safely channel cables and wiring. But how exactly do you mount these wire cable baskets?

In this short guide, we’ll go through the simple steps to mounting your wire cable basket.

*Please note, the same bracket is used for both ‘Under desk’ (Top) and Modesty Panel (H) fixing.

If extra space is needed to access sockets (etc), the Basket may be moved to position 5 whilst access is required – Always return to position 3 when work is completed.

What if I don’t have mounting bracket?

If you have a cable basket that doesn’t have a bracket, fixing it to your desk can cause a bit of a headache; particularly if your screws are too big but your wood screws are too small.

If this is the case, all you need to do is run the wood screw through a spacer and out the other side. You can then pass the screw tip through the cable baskets fixing lip and into the table, before tightening it.
