Your guide to space-saving tables

You never know when you need a spare desk, table or a little extra workspace. Whether you are a business, a hotel or restaurant or even a building developer or kitchen installation specialist, we have a space-saving table or worktop solution for you.

For businesses and premises where a large number of tables are needed regularly, but also need to be able to be tucked away when not needed, we have flip-top tables, tilt tables and even folding leg tables. And for private homes, office kitchens and property developers, we have pull out worktops, and sliding worktops that can offer extra seating or worktop space when it’s needed, but that also tuck away discretely when not.

So, with so many space-saving table solutions on offer, here’s your guide to our space-saving tables.

Flip-top tables

Flip-top tables, sometimes known as tilt-top tables enable you to swivel the tabletop and store tables close together by tilting the tabletop so it rests vertically alongside the legs. Because we supply tilt-top table frames, you can choose the type and colour of tabletop and the frame too, to match existing sets or specific schemes. These tables are perfect for meeting rooms, offices, function rooms, cafeterias or restaurants.

They have locking castors, so you can secure the tables into position and have confidence that they won’t travel in use. In fact, we have soft rubber-rimmed castors with a robust brake and forgiving wheel rims, which are more suited to hard floors and public areas. We also have the same frame with nylon rimmed castors available which are more suited to standard office environments with carpeted floors. We even offer tilt top tables with concealed castors too, which combines convenience with aesthetics.

Folding Table Legs

Folding leg tables are really economical on space as their legs fold flat against the body of the tabletop. For this reason, the height of the stored table is also the width of the tabletop itself.

For even tighter storage spaces, we have folding table legs. With the flip-top tables, the storage width is 580mm – the length of the feet, whereas, with folding tables, the maximum storage width needed is just a little deeper than the depth of the tabletop.

Folding table leg sets come in chrome and we offer our usual opportunity to save more as you buy more.

Pullout kitchen tables

These pull-out kitchen tables are more for fitted areas such as kitchens or laundry rooms where you want a single table occasionally, but it does fall within the space-saving table category, as these clever little tables pull out when needed, but slide away into a drawer when they’re not.

Worktop extenders

These are an ingenious way of extending worktop space when you need it. Again, more for kitchens than for conference rooms, meeting rooms or function suites, these sliding worktop extenders pull out and lock in place to give you additional worktop or breakfast bar width or length when you need it.
